SINGAPORE: Sarawak intensified its push to strengthen regional trade ties as Head of State, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, led a delegation on an official visit to the Sarawak Trade and Tourism Office Singapore (STATOS).
Accompanied by his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, the visit underscored the state’s commitment to boosting the visibility and market reach of Sarawak products in the republic.
Also joining the delegation were Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation and Talent Development, Datuk Dr Annuar Rapaee, and his wife, Datin Dr Haniza Zainal Abidin, alongside the Director of the Regional Affairs Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Malaysia (Sarawak), Datuk Fenny Nuli.
Malaysia’s High Commissioner to Singapore, Datuk Indera Dr Azfar Mohamad Mustafar, and his wife, Datin Indera Che Norhayati Soib, were also in attendance.

The delegation was received by Deputy State Secretary (Operations) and STATOS Director, Datuk Hii Chang Kee, before being taken on a tour of the exhibition space showcasing Sarawak’s premium food products, handicrafts, agricultural goods and lifestyle items.
STATOS Chairman, Tan Sri Mohamad Morshidi Abdul Ghani, briefed the visitors on ongoing strategies to strengthen business networks, enhance export performance, and expand the reach of local products in Singapore.
The visit reaffirmed STATOS’ role as a strategic gateway for Sarawak’s global market penetration while highlighting the state government’s sustained efforts to deepen trade collaboration with Singapore.
