The Johor Crown Prince, Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim, stated that Johor recorded an investment amount of RM27.4 billion in the first quarter of this year.

He wrote in a Facebook post that this is attributed to the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ), as well as various initiatives by the state government to attract more investments.

“At the same time, as I mentioned when I was appointed as the Crown Prince, I am committed to improving the quality of education in the state.”

“Therefore, the Johor state government has allocated RM55 million to improve the education system, and for the flood mitigation project originally scheduled to be completed in 2029, I have instructed to expedite the work to be completed by 2027.”

Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim continued to say that besides improving education, enhancing living standards, and strengthening economic development, infrastructure development remains crucial, and these are vital to ensuring Johor's progress and global competitiveness.

“I also want to congratulate the Chief Minister Datuk Seri Onn Hafiz, the Johor state government, the private sector, and everyone involved in implementing initiatives, reflecting our commitment to promoting development in various sectors of Johor.”
