(Bandar Seri Begawan, 17th) The National Immigration and Registration Department, through the Enforcement Department of the Kuala Belait Branch, conducted an enforcement operation codenamed "NIRD Kakas 2026" in the vicinity of Mukim Kuala Belait.
During the operation, a total of four foreign nationals who were inspected were detained and brought back to the enforcement department for further investigation.
Authorities stated that three of the foreign nationals are suspected of violating Chapter 17, Section 15(2) of the Immigration Act, namely working for employers other than their original ones; another individual is suspected of violating Section 15(1), that is, overstaying after their immigration pass was revoked.
Additionally, the individuals are also suspected of committing an offense under Section 35(1), namely abetting others to violate immigration laws.
