(Bandar Seri Begawan, 17th) In line with this year's International Human Resources Day theme of “Empowering Employees, Leading Change”, Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) held an Employee Day celebration, bringing together executives, senior management, and staff to celebrate employee achievements and recognize their contributions in driving organizational development and providing quality healthcare services.

JPMC Chief Human Resources Officer Sarihin Bashi said in his opening speech that in today’s rapidly changing workplace environment, the role of human resources is continuously evolving.

He said that all industries are facing unprecedented changes, with technology continually reshaping work patterns, rising employee expectations, and the pace of change for future skills being faster than ever before.

"However, among all these changes, one truth remains constant—that employee success is organizational success."

As part of its ongoing commitment to enhancing employee experience, JPMC officially launched its People Services on the day, demonstrating the organization's renewed focus on empowering employees, teams, and leadership development.

This transition marks an upgrade in the philosophy behind the company's human resource management, shifting from a process-centered approach to an employee experience-focused one, recognizing that employees are not just resources to be managed but are the key driving force behind organizational excellence.

Sarihin Bashi added that People Services embodies the company’s vision of being a trusted partner in organizational success, by supporting meaningful employee experiences, enhancing employee capabilities, and helping staff perform at their best throughout their careers at JPMC to achieve mutual growth.

Meanwhile, as one of the key measures to enhance employee experience, JPMC has launched the SEJATI structured onboarding program to help new employees integrate more smoothly into the organizational environment.

The company also simultaneously released an updated Employee Handbook to provide clear guidance on policies, benefits, work expectations, and related resources for its staff.

These measures are all part of JPMC's overall strategy to create a positive and inclusive work environment, aiming to offer greater support to employees, increase their engagement, and empower them to make more meaningful contributions to the organization’s mission.

JPMC pointed out that corporate culture is shaped collectively by all members, so leaders at all levels also play a crucial role in fostering a work environment conducive to employee growth, collaboration, and success.

Through the 2026 Employee Day event, JPMC not only extends gratitude and recognition to its staff but once again reaffirms its core belief that continued investment in talent development remains a fundamental basis for providing excellent medical services and enhancing the overall experience of patients and the community.
