(Indonesia, 20th) After Indonesia rescued five survivors who had been drifting at sea for three days following the sinking of a passenger ferry off the coast of South Sulawesi Province on Wednesday, search and rescue personnel today saved two more survivors on an uninhabited island in the eastern waters.
The passenger ship was carrying 78 passengers and crew at the time; at least one person has been confirmed dead, 18 remain listed as missing, and rescue operations are ongoing.
Currently, five large vessels, one reconnaissance aircraft, and a helicopter are continuing the search.
