Young Entrepreneurs TOYM Forum Special Guest: ‘Father of Comedy’ Harith Iskander Visits Miri

(Miri, 8th) The 2025 JCI Malaysia Ten Outstanding Young Malaysians (TOYM) Forum will welcome a special guest: “The Father of Malaysian Stand-up Comedy” Harith Iskander. Not only is he a globally renowned comedian, but also a thought leader and social advocate.
Harith Iskander will attend a special segment of the forum on the afternoon of September 19th from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. As a pioneer in Malaysian stand-up comedy, he has spent decades using humor to challenge perspectives, provoke thought, and reflect social reality through sharp and profound comedic works, making him one of Malaysia’s most influential voices.
Beyond stage performance, he is also a motivational speaker, corporate coach, and social commentator who helps organizations rethink, overcome challenges, and accelerate growth through his company. He also hosts podcasts, discussing social and political issues with guests from various fields.
As the founder of The HOPE BRANCH, he actively promotes social welfare, demonstrating his commitment to social change.

This year’s forum will be held from September 19th to 20th at Meritz Hotel, covering diverse topics such as youth leadership, public health, sustainable development, volunteerism, science and technology, and financial innovation, gathering more than 30 elites from politics, academia, business, and public welfare.
The first day (September 19th) starts at 10:00am with the theme “Youth Shaping the Future”, followed by discussions on sustainable growth in the food and beverage industry, public health, and humanitarian volunteerism, and also features a general discussion segment.
In the afternoon, there will be a sharing session by JCI TOYM Ambassador JinV, the forum's opening ceremony, and a comedy performance. The evening will move to Pullman Hotel for a grand Ten Outstanding Young Malaysians Awards Dinner.
The following day (September 20th) will feature keynotes and group discussions on political and legal affairs, humanity and peace, net-zero carbon emissions, science and technology, AI and politics, and fintech ecosystems. Highlights include speeches by Professor, Rocketeer, and Freediver Prof. Tan Zu Puayen, and Dr. Ong Chong Yong, one of the “Top 50 Young Scientists and Scholars of the World TOYP”.
The forum will conclude with an awards dinner, opened by performances of the national anthem and the Sarawak anthem. JCI Malaysia National President Chan Wei Jian, JCI Senators, and special guests will deliver speeches and present the 2025 Ten Outstanding Young Malaysians Awards, witnessing the power of youth role models.
This grand event is organized by JCI MIRI, gathering young talents from across the country, and is set to have a profound impact on the development of young Malaysian leaders and society.
