Hong Kong actor Benny Chan and his wife Lisa Jiang recently returned to Hong Kong from Dubai. In a recent media interview, they shared the thrilling experience of their emergency evacuation. At that time, the couple managed to secure only two return tickets. Lisa originally intended to let her parents take the tickets back to China, but her mother, with tearful eyes, told her: "We are both in our sixties. If anyone should leave first, it should be you and Benny. You still have four young children, need to earn money, and support your family."
Fortunately, Lisa managed to refresh the ticketing website again in the end and successfully obtained two more tickets, allowing the whole family to return to Hong Kong together. At 4 a.m., the couple and their parents packed their luggage and drove to Dubai airport, and after a hectic journey finally boarded the flight. 1.5 hours after takeoff, Dubai airspace was completely closed; it was only after landing in Hong Kong that they learned their flight narrowly missed contact with missiles during the journey, leaving the couple shaken.
After returning to Hong Kong, Lisa immediately went live to assure everyone of their safety and shared details of their evacuation. She revealed that each ticket cost about 11,000 RMB (approximately 6,267 MYR), and she managed to secure all of them herself. Just to be safe, the couple even gave their last words and bank card passwords to their children while on the plane. In the interview, Benny Chan remarked emotionally, “Everyone is deeply moved—in times like these, I must say that China is without doubt the safest place in the world.”
