The 'Ageless Male God' Jimmy Lin was recently confirmed to have purchased the globally limited Ferrari F80. This supercar, valued at up to 200 million TWD (approximately 24.64 million MYR), is currently owned solely by him in all of Taiwan.
In February this year, Jimmy Lin, together with his wife and child, traveled all the way to Ferrari headquarters in Maranello, Italy, to personally welcome this limited-edition new beast boasting 1,200 horsepower home. His long-standing passion for car collecting has once again sparked discussion, and his tremendous financial power continues to amaze the public.
Having debuted for 34 years, Jimmy Lin, not only widely known for his singing and acting achievements, is an avid car enthusiast in private, and was the first salaried professional racing driver in Taiwan. Fascinated since childhood with the combination of mechanical control and a sense of speed, he won runner-up at the Taiwan Remote Control Car Championship at just 10 years old. Becoming a racing driver was always his dream, which he finally realized at age 23, going on to win 17 championship trophies in various competitions.
Now, Jimmy Lin has added another beast to his garage, flying with his wife and child to Ferrari headquarters in Italy in February to personally welcome the latest F80 supercar.
This new-generation supercar boasts an incredible 1,200 horsepower and is limited to only 799 units worldwide. The official base price is as high as 3.6 million euros (about 16.35 million MYR), equivalent to around 120 million TWD, and, after import taxes and fees in Taiwan, the total price can reach up to 200 million TWD (about 24.64 million MYR)—a truly hefty sum. It was completely sold out at launch, once again leading the public to marvel at Jimmy Lin's formidable financial strength.
In a video released by Ferrari's official website, not only does Jimmy Lin's handsome figure appear, but the F80 is also seen racing across Taipei's elevated roads and famous landmark Taipei 101.
