‘Riding the Wind 2026’ (Sisters Who Make Waves 7) is expected to premiere next month. It will break the tradition of the past six seasons of pre-recorded broadcasts and, for the first time, feature ‘full stage live broadcasting.’ This includes the initial stage, five public performances, and the grand finale—seven performances in total—that will be aired without post-editing and without audio touch-ups, all in real time. According to the latest leaked list of contestants, 57-year-old Hsiao Chiang is the eldest participant. Other female stars from Taiwan include Fan Wei Qi, Xu Jie Er, Zeng Pei Ci, and Chiang Yu Chen.

In addition to the Taiwanese contestants, Best Actress Lee Sin Jie, Tao Xin Ran (who played ‘An Lingrong’ in ‘Empresses in the Palace’), Tang Yi Xin (who played ‘Concubine Qi’), Li Xiao Ran (Princess Li Yun Rui in ‘Joy of Life’), and Wen Zheng Rong (the scheming mother-in-law in ‘Light Chaser Rescue’) are all well known to Taiwanese viewers. Others include host Xie Nan, ‘Super Girl’ singer Ye Yi Qian, and Miss Hong Kong champion Chen Kailin, all of whom have famous husbands. Viewers might even catch a glimpse of Wu Jing, former diving champion Tian Liang, and Zheng Jia Ying (the ‘Eighth Prince’), who may show up to cheer for their wives.
