Following a series of measures announced by India regarding the Kashmir terror attack, the Pakistani Prime Minister's Office on the 24th pointed out that India's actions are extremely irresponsible and lack legal basis. Any attempt to block or divert the flow of water from Pakistan as per the Indus Waters Treaty will be regarded as an act of war and will be met with full retaliation.
The statement from the Prime Minister's Office said that Prime Minister Shehbaz chaired a National Security Committee meeting that day. The National Security Committee expressed concern over the loss of tourist lives in the incident and firmly condemned all forms of terrorism. However, India's attempt to link the incident with Pakistan in the absence of any reliable investigation and verifiable evidence is "reckless, irrational, and illogical." India's series of measures are unjust, politically motivated, extremely irresponsible, and lack legal basis.
The statement pointed out that the National Security Committee decided to close the Wagah border crossing with India, abolish certain visas issued to Indian citizens, declare the military attaché of the Indian High Commission in Pakistan as persona non grata, close the airspace to Indian airlines, and suspend all trade with India.
