U.S. President Trump expressed displeasure at the missile and drone attacks on Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, by Russia.

On the 24th, he said on his social media platform "Truth Social": "I am not happy about Russia attacking Kyiv. It's unnecessary, and the timing is very wrong. Putin, stop! 5,000 soldiers have died in one week. Let’s make a peace deal happen!"

Trump later stated at the White House that if Russia's attacks continue, "something will happen."

He acknowledged the "many hatreds" that exist between Ukraine and Russia.

However, he insisted: "I think they all want to achieve peace. I really do believe that."

He also pointed out that the U.S. is putting a lot of pressure on Russia, and Russia knows it.

When asked what concessions Russia should make, Trump responded: "Stop the war, stop the full occupation of Ukraine. That's a big concession."
