(Bandar Seri Begawan, 22nd) The second Yunus Emre Institute (YEE) Turkish Ebru Art Exhibition was held yesterday at the Sultan Museum.
Minister of Development Dato Mohammad Juanda and senior officials were invited to attend.
Turkish Ambassador to Brunei Hamit Ersoy stated, "Today, we gather not only to appreciate the elegance of Riq’ah calligraphy and the meditative beauty of Ebru art, but also to reaffirm the shared values that unite our two countries. These art forms embody the historical, spiritual, and intellectual heritage of the Ottoman Empire. Now, the Sultan Museum will open a six-month free course to the Bruneian public."
The ambassador said the course, organized by the Sultan Museum with the support of the Turkish Educational and Cultural Center (YEE) and coordinated with the Turkish Embassy in Brunei, will begin on August 4th, allowing the public to deepen their understanding of Turkish traditions, arts, and culture.
Director of the Turkish Educational and Cultural Center in Brunei, Lale Ersoy, explained that Ebru art is a devout form of art deeply rooted in Turkish culture and is widely practiced by many artists as a form of praise.
