Thailand’s acting Prime Minister Puttan told the media on the 29th that after the ceasefire agreement between Thailand and Cambodia took effect at midnight on the 28th, there may have been undisciplined Cambodian soldiers, and the Thai side made an appropriate response.
However, he pointed out to the media that the situation is now calm.
He said: "The situation has not escalated, and the border is currently calm."
He noted that frontline commanders from both sides would hold an informal meeting at 10 a.m. (11 a.m. Malaysian time).
