On the 6th, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that on the evening of the 5th and the morning of the 6th, Russian forces shot down 605 Ukrainian drones in the skies over various regions within Russia.
The Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement: “Overnight... air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 605 Ukrainian drones.”
In Tver Oblast, about 180 kilometers northwest of Moscow, the local government reported that a logistics center of Russian e-commerce giant "Wildberries" was attacked and damaged. Since mid-July, Ukrainian forces have attacked facilities belonging to "Wildberries" at various locations within Russia multiple times.
Europe Should Stop Aiding Ukraine
On the 6th, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grushko said in an interview with Russian media that the dialogue among European countries regarding the issue of peace in Ukraine is aimed at masking their real intention of prolonging the war.
He stated that if Europe truly advocates a peaceful resolution to the Russia-Ukraine conflict, it should stop providing military aid to Ukraine. However, what Europe talks about is quite the opposite; Europe says it will continue supporting Ukraine with aid, regardless of the funding required, until the situation no longer calls for it.
He said that stopping the delivery of weapons to Ukraine is the contribution that Europe ought to make.
