(Kuching, 16th) A total of 58 beneficiaries received assistance through a food basket distribution and breaking fast event held at Kuching Huali.
Kota Sentosa state assemblyman Yao Xing Yap stated that this event is part of his team's ongoing efforts to support families in need, enabling them to have peace of mind during Ramadan.
He said, “Ramadan is a month filled with blessings, patience, and reflection. It also reminds us to care for others and to share with the less fortunate.”
“Through this event, we hope to ease the burden of families in need so they can comfortably celebrate Ramadan with their families.”
“This contribution may not be much, but it is given with sincerity and a strong sense of community spirit.” He said this in his speech at the breaking fast event yesterday (15th).
The event was co-organized by the Kota Sentosa Service Centre and Huali Supermarket, with Huali Supermarket also providing the venue.
He added that the spirit of mutual help and love is always the foundation of harmony and unity in the Kota Sentosa community, and expressed gratitude to all volunteers and community leaders for their support, which ensured the smooth running of the event.
He said, “As the people's representative of Kota Sentosa, I will continue to go deep into the community and strive for the well-being of all residents, regardless of race or background.”
The beneficiaries this time included residents from Kampung Stutong Baru Melayu and Kampung Batu Perak, both of which are located within the Kota Sentosa state constituency.
