During Chinese President Xi Jinping's three-day state visit to Malaysia, the governments of Malaysia and China officially signed a visa exemption agreement, bringing greater convenience for the people of both countries and further warming bilateral cooperation relations.
According to a report by "8TV", Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian stated at the regular press conference today that China-Malaysia friendship has a long history, with similar ideals, intertwined interests, and connected hearts. The signing of this visa exemption agreement will undoubtedly further promote the exchange of personnel and multi-field cooperation between the two countries.
“During President Xi's visit to Malaysia, the two countries signed the 'Agreement on the Mutual Exemption of Visa Requirements for Holders of Diplomatic, Service/Official Passports and Ordinary Passports,' which will propel the construction of the China-Malaysia community of shared destiny to a new level.”
During this visit, Malaysia and China signed a total of 31 memorandums of understanding and cooperation agreements, covering important fields such as diplomacy, economy and trade, transportation, communications, education, digital economy, and intellectual property, marking the move of bilateral relations towards a deeper level of strategic cooperation.
