(Kuala Lumpur, 19th) Former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib will undergo a medical surgery to remove plaque near his blood vessels.
His wife, Datin Seri Rosmah, stated on Facebook that after news of Najib's health condition emerged, the family was deeply grateful for the concern shown by friends, colleagues, and supporters.
She also earnestly requested that the public continue to pray for Najib, hoping that all the upcoming medical procedures and surgeries he is to undergo will proceed smoothly and safely.
"I am very thankful for the concern shown by relatives, friends, and all supporters. During this period, I sincerely ask everyone to continue praying for him, and wish that all the treatments and medical procedures he will undergo go smoothly, and that he may regain health and strength."
Last Thursday, it was reported that Najib experienced heart discomfort and is expected to undergo the relevant surgery this week.
The 73-year-old Najib is currently serving a prison sentence after being convicted in the SRC International case.
