(Seremban, 19th) Negeri Sembilan Police Chief Azafni pointed out that the security and public order situation throughout the 16th Negeri Sembilan state election campaign period has been good and remains under control.
He said that as of the 18th of this month, Negeri Sembilan police received 19 applications to hold political talks and campaign events, and all applications have already been approved.
He stated that the police will supervise these political activities to ensure the related events are held in accordance with the law and do not affect public security or order.
When Azafni issued a statement today to announce the latest developments regarding the state election, he noted the police also received one report on the 18th of this month, but so far no investigation file has been opened into election-related violations.
He stated that Negeri Sembilan police will fully enhance their supervision and enforcement during the state election and will deal strictly with any violations.
He also called on the public to comply with the law and respect the democratic process, and to fully cooperate with the police in their duties to ensure the state election in Negeri Sembilan can proceed in a peaceful, harmonious, safe and orderly manner.
