(Kuching, 7th) – A 48-year-old man died in the early hours of Saturday morning after he allegedly lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a roadside guardrail while traveling along Kuching’s Jalan Tun Datuk Patinggi Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Yaakub.
Kuching District Police Chief Assistant Superintendent Alexson stated that the accident occurred at around 4:30 am.
Investigations indicated that the motorcyclist was heading towards the city center on this road when, for unknown reasons, he lost control and crashed into the guardrail on the right side of the road.
“The accident caused fatal head injuries to the victim. Medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene at around 4:42 am.”
The body of the deceased was subsequently sent to the Sarawak General Hospital forensic department for a post-mortem examination.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
