Taiwanese star Yu Sheng was sentenced to 8 months for forcible indecency against a female assistant. At the end of last year, he was granted five years' probation and required to pay 2 million NTD to the national treasury (about 264,000 MYR). He paid the amount in February this year and originally planned to make a comeback in April. However, he was immediately bombarded by a large group of netizens and had to announce that he would no longer be active under the name 'Yu Sheng,' even donating his social media platforms. Subsequently, rumors emerged that he and his wife, Tzu-Hui, had divorced, and the whole family moved out of their wooden house on the Taichung farmland, though both sides have yet to publicly confirm it.
After lying low for a while, 43-year-old Yu Sheng was spotted by netizens at a restaurant in Taichung. He had dyed blonde hair and a bright smile, and seemed to be in good spirits. Tzu-Hui quietly began a new life and posted on her birthday, the 7th, on social media, admitting that she was 'starting a new life in a new city.' She also said goodbye to her friends: 'To those friends I managed or didn’t manage to say goodbye to, I hope everything goes smoothly and peacefully for you, and I look forward to seeing you again soon.'
Tzu-Hui revealed that before leaving Taichung, she witnessed the rice fields around their wooden house being harvested for the last time, giving her mixed feelings: 'Witnessing these rice crops from planting to harvest for the last time, it feels like it was all the most perfect ending arranged by fate.' She sincerely wrote: 'The most familiar natural cycles, the trees, land, and streams I am most attached to—even with so much reluctance, it is still necessary to let go and move on with the flow. And then move forward.' Although she still feels uncertain about the future, she continues to believe, 'Everything will get better and better, because we are always filled with hope and love.'
Despite ongoing divorce rumors, both have remained low-key and have not said much in response. However, Tzu-Hui did not deliberately avoid mentioning Yu Sheng; on Father's Day, she even shared drawings their two children made for their dad, which seems to preserve a certain family bond.
