(Bandar Seri Begawan, 3rd) Nine local chefs from Royal Brunei Catering (RBC) recently showcased their skills at the Culinaire 2025 Malaysia Culinary Competition, held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. The event was conducted concurrently with the 2025 Malaysia Food & Hotel Exhibition.
The Malaysia Culinary Competition is one of the region’s largest and most prestigious contests, attracting professional chefs from around the world.
During the competition, each RBC chef competed individually in their selected categories, demonstrating creativity, technical skill, and culinary artistry before an international panel of judges.
In the Malaysian Traditional Cuisine category, Sitti Syahara and Nurwathiqah each won silver medals, while Siti Nurul Adibah secured a bronze medal.
Meanwhile, in the Western Meat/Poultry Main Course event featuring Australian lamb as the main ingredient, Mohammad Shahrumeey, Mohammad Shukry, and Amal Nadzirah each won bronze medals.
In the Western Fish/Seafood Main Course event featuring Longyangxia Salmon, Mohammad Amalulariffin earned a bronze medal, while Nur Haziqah Ijazati and Mohamad Dimira were awarded diplomas.
This impressive collective achievement not only highlights the dedication and skill of Bruneian chefs but also reflects RBC’s commitment to nurturing local culinary talent, further accentuating Brunei’s standing on the international food and hospitality stage.
