This is one of the 31 memorandums, diplomatic notes, and agreements or letters of intent exchanged between Malaysia and China on Wednesday (April 16th), signed and exchanged by Transport Minister Anthony Loke and the Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia, Ouyang Yujing.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Transport, the main areas of cooperation agreed upon include railway industry development, sharing of best practices, implementation of joint projects, organization of training programs and conferences, and formal exchanges between officials and experts, paving the way for technology transfer and investment in public transport systems and improving the efficiency of Malaysia's railway operations.

“This cooperation aligns with the Ministry of Transport's desire to strengthen the national transportation network, thereby enhancing domestic and regional connectivity, bringing prosperity for the benefit of the entire nation and its people.”
