(Bandar Seri Begawan, 29th) The Piano Land cruise ship recently arrived at Brunei’s Muara Port, carrying nearly 2,000 Chinese passengers and over 500 crew members for a sightseeing tour in Brunei.
Upon arrival at the port, the passengers were warmly welcomed as they disembarked by reception staff dressed in traditional Malay attire and accompanied by a musical troupe. The scene was filled with strong ethnic flavor and festive atmosphere, showcasing Brunei’s hospitality.
Afterwards, the tourists began a half-day sightseeing tour, visiting many of Brunei’s iconic landmarks and famous attractions, personally experiencing the unique natural scenery and deep cultural heritage of the “Abode of Peace.” With the explanations and interactive exchanges of professional tour guides, visitors not only appreciated the blend of tradition and modernity in the city but also deeply felt Brunei’s peaceful and harmonious social atmosphere and genuine hospitality.
The reception was organized by Brunei TravelHub Travel Agency, Tianle Holiday Travel Agency, and Feimei Travel Agency. The involved guides and interpreters provided professional commentary throughout and ensured the tour ran smoothly and orderly.
During their stay, visitors in groups toured several famous attractions, including exterior viewings of Istana Nurul Iman, Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque, Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex, Jame' Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque, The Mall shopping plaza, Jerudong Royal Polo Club, Jerudong Crystal Park Playground, and the Sultan’s Golden Jubilee Recreational Park.

As Brunei is set to welcome the “Brunei Tourism Year 2027,” it is believed that more international tourists will be attracted to visit in the future, further driving the development of the national tourism industry.
It is noteworthy that this August, a large cruise ship carrying nearly 5,000 Chinese tourists is expected to arrive in Brunei, injecting fresh vitality into the local tourism and related service industries.
According to statistical data, in 2025, the total number of inbound travelers to Brunei by air, land, and sea has exceeded 700,000, a 13% increase over the previous year, showing the continuous recovery and stable growth trend of the national tourism industry.
Among them, the number of inbound travelers by sea increased significantly by 46% year-on-year, fully reflecting the gradually released development potential of cruise and marine tourism markets, and demonstrating Brunei’s growing appeal as a regional travel destination.
