警方在双溪拉当地区查获违禁品

Public Intelligence Leads to Police Seizure of Contraband

(Temburong, 28th) The Royal Brunei Police Force (PPDB) Bangar Police Station successfully uncovered a smuggling case involving contraband on May 26, following a tip-off from the public.
On the morning of that day, police personnel received information that there were suspicious activities in the Sungai Latang area of Kampong Serapong, Temburong District, and immediately proceeded to the scene to carry out an inspection.
The inspection resulted in the seizure of several plastic containers filled with contraband, including 384 cans and 234 bottles of various brands of alcoholic beverages, 60 kilograms of cocktail, as well as 165 cartons of different types of cigarettes.
All the contraband has been handed over to the Royal Customs and Excise Department (JKED) for investigation and further action. The police sincerely thank the public for their cooperation and the valuable information provided, noting that it was their assistance that enabled the successful crackdown on illegal activities. The police urge the public to continue reporting any suspicious activities to the authorities to ensure the nation’s security, peace and wellbeing are always protected.
