(Bandar Seri Begawan, 28th) Recently, Chung Hwa Middle School's Kindergarten in Brunei held its annual Children's Day celebration, themed "Nurturing Dreams with a Childlike Heart, Growing Up Happily." The event aimed to let the little ones experience the joyful atmosphere of Children's Day, cultivate teamwork and participation spirit, and to promote children's physical coordination and social interaction through games and activities.
On May 23, the activities were held during both the morning and afternoon sessions, with children from K1, K2, and K3 enthusiastically participating, filling the campus with laughter and joy.
The celebration kicked off with energetic group exercises and interactive games. The children danced to "1234, Move Along," Disney Aerobic, and sang the "Children's Day Song" together, instantly setting the festive mood. At the same time, kindergarten teachers had carefully designed a "Guess What" interactive segment where kids identified sounds and mimicked actions, which not only trained their observation skills but also strengthened their sense of participation amidst laughter.
Afterwards, each class engaged in a variety of fun games, such as ball passing, relay races, balloon tapping, and the refreshing "water play." The atmosphere was lively, with children collaborating, cheering for one another, and showcasing strong team spirit and energy.
It is worth mentioning that a warm birthday party and cake-cutting ceremony were held for children with May birthdays. Everyone gathered to sing the birthday song and share sweet moments, faces beaming with happiness.
The kindergarten’s assistant principal, Shen Manling, shared that this event continued the theme of "health, joy, and liveliness," with educational meaning integrated into every segment, so that children could learn through play and grow in laughter.
Principal Hsu Yueh Lan of Chung Hwa also stated that the school always adheres to the philosophy of "learning through fun," hoping that activities like this will help children reap joy and friendship, deepen their recognition and love for multiculturalism, and add beautiful colors to their childhood.
The event concluded with a group photo of all teachers and students. Over 440 children from the kindergarten left the campus happily with small gifts in hand. The school especially thanked local enterprise Aewon Garment Sdn Bhd (Aewon Brunei) for their strong support, which made this year's Children's Day celebration even warmer and sweeter.
