(Bandar Seri Begawan, 11th) A total of 115 students recently received education vouchers at the Jerudong Sports Complex, presented by a group consisting of cabinet ministers, assistant ministers, permanent secretaries, deputy permanent secretaries, and their spouses, to help them prepare for the new academic year.
This aid program is an annual initiative jointly organized by the group and the Community Development Department (JAPEM), aiming to alleviate the financial burden of beneficiary students’ families and to encourage students to study diligently and strive for excellence, thereby improving their family’s livelihood.
The guest of honor at the event was the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Dato Nazmi, who was accompanied by the group’s Second Chairperson, Naria.
The ceremony commenced with a recitation of Al-Fatihah, led by Community Development Department staff Abdul Ghani, followed by the presentation of the education vouchers by the guest of honor and concluded with a prayer ceremony.
Other distinguished guests present included Education Ministry Core Education Permanent Secretary Shan Sian, Acting Social Affairs Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, Sinti, Acting Director of the Community Development Department, Fazian, and other senior government officials.
Since its launch in 2025, this program aims to encourage more organizations to join such charitable projects, promote a spirit of social care, and enhance cohesion and empathy within the Bruneian community.
