Chief Inspector Peng: Zou Yuhui Remains Silent During Deposition, Release or Further Detention Depends on Investigation Progress

Pahang Chief Police Officer Datuk Seri Yahaya disclosed that Raub MP Zou Yuhui remained silent during the deposition process. Whether he will be released or further detained today depends on the progress of the investigation.

He pointed out that the police have so far received 28 reports, with complainants including non-governmental organizations, individuals, and farmers. The police are investigating the case under Section 186 of the Penal Code for "obstructing public servants from performing their duties."

He stated that last year, the police also invoked Section 186 of the Penal Code (obstructing public servants from performing their duties) to investigate Zou Yuhui.

He made these remarks in response to media inquiries about the case's progress after attending an event at the Pahang Police Headquarters on Tuesday morning.
