The Rescue Musang King Alliance clarifies that they have not initiated any fundraising campaign for Raub Member of Parliament Chow Yu Hui and Rescue Musang King Alliance Chairman Cheng Yi Qing, who are detained by the police for investigation.

On the other hand, Chow Yu Hui's Facebook was updated today at 2:30 AM with the latest situation, confirming that Chow Yu Hui and Cheng Yi Qing will be detained overnight, with the release time yet to be determined. They will provide updates to the public and the media through social media.

According to a message from Chow Yu Hui's Facebook administrator last night, the screenshots of the fundraising circulating online are actually from the RM600,000 fundraising campaign initiated by the Alliance in April 2024 for hall fees. This fundraising campaign was stopped in November 2024 after reaching its target.

The Alliance urges the public not to believe in rumors to prevent malicious parties from taking advantage, causing unnecessary financial loss.

Additionally, Pahang Police Chief Datuk Seri Yeh Yah confirmed in an interview with Bernama that the police detained Raub Member of Parliament Chow Yu Hui and Rescue Musang King Alliance Chairman Cheng Yi Qing under Section 186 of the Penal Code for obstructing public servants in the discharge of their duties.

He pointed out that Chow Yu Hui and Cheng Yi Qing were arrested on the spot by the police after recording their statements at the Raub police station yesterday afternoon following a police summons.
