On the 12th, South Korean National Assembly member Lee Sung-kwon (phonetic) stated, after receiving a briefing from Seoul’s intelligence agency, that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has already consolidated his daughter Kim Ju Ae’s position as the legal successor in advance of the upcoming party congress.
Lee said that the National Intelligence Service of South Korea previously described Kim Ju Ae as “receiving successor education,” but this time used the term “successor designation stage.” Assembly member Park Sun-won added that North Korea had previously been gradually demonstrating the successor structure to the outside world, but since the end of last year, has begun to highlight her status as second in protocol ranking, and Kim Ju Ae has also given opinions and suggestions regarding some policies during her on-site inspections.
