Spring Couplets Written to Celebrate the New Year: Student Talent Competition Results Announced

(Seria, 28th) On the eve of the New Year, Chung Zheng Middle School in Seria organized a series of vibrant Chinese New Year competition activities to welcome the arrival of the Bingwu New Year, promote outstanding Chinese traditional culture, and create a festive and harmonious atmosphere. Recently, the highly anticipated "2026 Primary and Secondary School Bingwu Year Spring Couplet Writing Competition" and "Year of the Horse Class Bulletin Board Decoration Competition" results were officially announced. The school authorities specially released the list of winners during the New Year period and held a grand award ceremony, presenting medals, prize money, and certificates to the winning students to recognize their outstanding performance and hard work.

As a traditional annual event to welcome the New Year, the Spring Couplet Writing Competition is not only a contest of calligraphy skills, but also serves to carry forward the roots of Chinese culture. This year's "2026 Primary and Secondary School Bingwu Year Spring Couplet Writing Competition" was open to all students from Grade 5 to Grade 11. On the field, students wielded their brushes with style—every stroke demonstrating their calligraphy prowess and conveying heartfelt New Year wishes through their writing.

Aside from this cultural contest in ink and brush, the "Year of the Horse Class Bulletin Board Decoration Competition" provided students with a broad platform to showcase creativity and talent. This competition encouraged students to use environmentally-friendly materials to create and decorate their class bulletin boards around the 'Year of the Horse' theme. Under their skillful hands, the bulletin boards became vivid art scrolls, not only adding a strong festive flavor to classrooms but also enabling students of different ethnicities to jointly experience Chinese Lunar New Year customs, vividly practicing both the inheritance and integration of Chinese school culture.

After careful evaluation by the judges, the winning classes for the "Year of the Horse Class Bulletin Board Decoration Competition" are as follows:
Secondary School Group: Champion Grade 11 Arts Class (Theme: Success Upon Arrival), 2nd Place Grade 7 Lily Class (Theme: Family Reunion), 3rd Place Grade 8 Lily Class (Theme: As Spring Arrives, Blossoms Bloom and Horses Bring Good Fortune)
