(Jakarta, 3rd) On May 2nd, Indonesia celebrated National Education Day. On this day, President Prabowo officially launched four key educational projects under the 'Quick Achievements Program'.
On the afternoon of the 2nd, President Prabowo attended the National Education Day celebration held at a national primary school in Bogor City, West Java Province. The president attended the event wearing a brown military uniform and sunglasses. On the way to the event venue, the president waved to the enthusiastic crowd from the top of a Mawong brand car.
Upon arrival, the president entered a classroom to briefly observe a digital teaching class conducted through the 'Smart Classroom' system.
In his speech, Prabowo emphasized that education is the key to the rise of a nation and its people. The president stated that if education is not good or successful, we cannot become a prosperous country or an advanced nation.
Prabowo also announced the official launch of four strategic educational projects, covering school renovations, education digitization, substitute teacher assistance, and educational grants for teachers who have not yet obtained a 4-year (D4) or bachelor's (S1) degree.
Additionally, the government will provide monthly direct cash assistance of 300,000 Indonesian Rupiah to substitute teachers and an educational grant of 3 million Indonesian Rupiah per semester for teachers who have not completed their undergraduate studies.
It is understood that the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Abdul, previously revealed that the school renovation project aims to cover 10,440 schools by the end of this year, with a total budget of 16.9 trillion Indonesian Rupiah.
