Beauty Institution Found Operating with Expired License

(Bandar Seri Begawan, 21st) The Enforcement Unit of the Bandar Seri Begawan Municipal Department recently conducted inspections of beauty and wellness institutions in the Kampong Serusop area, during which they discovered an institution that continued operating despite its business license having expired 64 days ago.
According to Section 20, Chapter 241 of the 'Beauty and Wellness Institutions Act,' operating a beauty and wellness business without a valid license is illegal. Upon conviction, offenders may be fined up to BND 10,000; if the offense continues, an additional fine of up to BND 100 per day may be imposed.
Regarding the above violation, the enforcement authorities have immediately ordered the institution to cease operations and have required the owner to report to the relevant department for further investigation. The Municipal Department also reminds all beauty and wellness business operators to strictly comply with prevailing laws and regulations, renew their business licenses in a timely manner, ensure that employees maintain good personal hygiene, and guarantee that the equipment, instruments, and beauty and wellness products used are safe and reliable in order to protect the health and rights of consumers.
