Brunei Sultan Receives Indonesian Health Minister, Signs Memorandum of Understanding on Health Cooperation

(Bandar Seri Begawan, 21st) His Majesty the Sultan of Brunei yesterday afternoon received the visiting Indonesian Minister of Health, Budi Gunadi, at the Istana Nurul Iman. 
The Indonesian Health Minister was on a one-day working visit to Brunei, aimed at further strengthening bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual concern, especially in the field of health. 
During the visit, both parties focused on exploring ways to enhance medical service quality, strengthen capacity building in health human resources, and promote cooperation in knowledge exchange and best practices between the two countries. 
As an important outcome of the visit, Brunei and Indonesia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on health cooperation, reflecting the commitment of both countries to strengthen collaboration in the development and improvement of health systems, jointly promoting the wellbeing of the people and the advancement of public health in both nations. 
During the visit, Budi Gunadi also toured Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital (RIPAS Hospital) to learn about the development of Brunei's medical services and health system. 
Accompanying the Indonesian Health Minister at the audience were Indonesia's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Brunei, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Ubaidillah, as well as Indonesia's Deputy Minister of Health, Yuli Fariyanti. 
Brunei's Minister of Health, Dr. Isham, was also present at the audience held at the Istana Nurul Iman.
