On the 24th, the Indian government announced that all Pakistani citizens within the country must leave by April 29.

This is India's latest measure against Pakistan following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir on the 22nd, which targeted tourists and resulted in at least 26 deaths and injuries. It is reported that at least three Pakistanis were involved in the incident.

The Indian Ministry of External Affairs released a statement saying that after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, the Indian government has decided to halt visa services for Pakistani citizens, effective immediately. All Pakistani citizens currently in India must leave before their visas expire.

According to the statement, the measure will not affect Pakistani diplomatic personnel in New Delhi.

India has identified a link between Pakistan and the attack, and on the 23rd announced a series of measures against Pakistan, including suspending an important water resource distribution treaty between the two countries, closing border checkpoints, and reducing the number of Pakistani diplomats.
