US President Trump stated on the 24th that both Israel and Iran have violated the ceasefire agreement.
Speaking to the media at the White House, he said: "Iran has violated the ceasefire agreement, and so has Israel... I’m not happy with Israel for doing this, and I’m also displeased with Iran, but I’m especially dissatisfied with Israel."
He swore in front of the media at one point.
He said that the two countries have been fighting for so long and intensely, "they don't have a damn clue what they’re doing."
Trump also posted a warning on social media telling Israel "not to drop those bombs," saying such an act would be a "serious violation" of the ceasefire agreement.
He said, "Tell your pilots to turn back, immediately!"
Later, he posted again, stating that Israel would not attack Iran, that all aircraft would turn around and return, "no one will be harmed, and the ceasefire agreement has taken effect!"
Trump had also called Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu that day, demanding that Israel not attack Iran.
According to the US Axios news website, Trump "very firmly" told Netanyahu not to retaliate against Iran for violating the ceasefire agreement. Netanyahu, however, said that since Iran had violated the agreement, he could not call off the offensive against Iran.
However, according to the Times of Israel, the US and Israel later agreed to strike a "symbolic" target in response to "Iran’s violation of the ceasefire." The Israeli air force subsequently carried out a "small-scale attack" on a radar station in the northern part of Iran’s capital, Tehran.
