On the 14th, the US Central Command announced on social media that at 16:00 US Eastern Time that day (04:00 Malaysia time on the 15th), the US military resumed the naval blockade targeting vessels traveling to and from Iranian ports and coastal areas.
The statement added that more than 20 US Navy warships and hundreds of military aircraft are carrying out missions in the Middle East, with US forces ready to respond to various situations at any time.
Previously, from April 13 to June 18, the US military had imposed a naval blockade on Iran.
Sustained 7-Hour Strike Against Iran
US Central Command also stated that at 22:00 US Eastern Time, the US military completed a new round of sustained 7-hour strikes against Iran that day. The US employed fighter jets, drones, and naval vessels to strike dozens of military targets near the Strait of Hormuz and Iran's coastal areas, including Iran's missile and drone sites, naval forces, and coastal defense systems.
Iran Strikes US Facilities in Jordan and Kuwait
On the 15th, Iran’s military announced that it once again launched a drone attack on the US base in Azraq, Jordan, damaging US F-18 fighter jets and a large equipment depot at the base.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard also issued a statement noting that on the night of the 14th, the US conducted airstrikes on multiple locations along Iran's southern coast, and Iran retaliated by damaging the US military’s readiness and support center in Kuwait.
