Crown Prince Leads Prayers for Sultan’s Health

(Bandar Seri Begawan, 14th) The Crown Prince of Brunei attended a prayer ceremony at the Jame' 'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque yesterday, participating in the Sunnat Hajat prayer, collective recitation of Surah Yasin, and special supplications for the health and well-being of His Majesty the Sultan of Brunei, who is scheduled to receive medical treatment on the 18th of this month (Sunday).

Upon his arrival, the Crown Prince was greeted by the Chief of State Protocol Pengiran Idris, along with several Cabinet members and religious leaders, including the Minister of Religious Affairs, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office & Second Minister of Defence, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office & Second Minister of Finance and Economy, the State Mufti, and the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs.

Also accompanying the Crown Prince were several princes and royal family members, including Prince Malik, Prince Mateen, and Prince Jefri.

The prayer ceremony began with collective Maghrib prayer and Sunnat Hajat prayer, followed by the recitation of Surah Yasin, and concluded with special supplications—praying to Allah for His Majesty’s speedy recovery, long-term health, and peace, so that His Majesty may continue to provide wise and visionary leadership to ensure the nation’s safety, stability, and prosperity of the people.

After the call to Isha prayer, the Crown Prince and royal family members performed the congregational prayer, then departed the venue.

Those present included government officials, members of uniformed organizations, mosque management committees, worshippers, and members of the public. Similar prayer ceremonies were also held simultaneously in other districts, uniting the nation in sincere prayers asking Allah to grant His Majesty a swift recovery, good health, and wishing the nation of Brunei continued peace, prosperity, and well-being for its people.
