(Bandar Seri Begawan, 16th) The Royal Brunei Police Force celebrated its 105th anniversary with grandeur. In conjunction with Police Day commemorative activities, the 105th Police Day Parade ceremony was held yesterday morning at the Gadong Police Training Centre parade ground. This year’s celebration carries the theme of “Strengthening the Force Towards Vision 2035”, showcasing the police’s continued commitment to enhancing capability and advancing the nation's long-term development goals.

The ceremony was graced by Development Minister Awang Haji Juanda as the guest of honor. Attendees included Police Commissioner Sulaiman, senior officials from the Ministry of Development, Deputy Commissioner Pengiran Anak Haji Mohd Saiful, as well as military and police personnel, civilian staff, and specially invited guests, among whom were several former officers and personnel.

The event commenced with the guest of honor inspecting the guard of honor and the marching formations, accompanied by the police military band, creating a solemn and dignified atmosphere. In his speech, the guest of honor noted that the 105th Police Day is not only a key milestone for the police force but also an occasion to commend all police personnel for their long-standing contributions, sacrifices, and unwavering commitment to maintaining national security, social order, and public welfare.

The guest of honor emphasized that after more than a century of development, the Royal Brunei Police Force remains one of the nation’s most trusted and respected security institutions. He also pointed out that leadership founded on the spirit of trust, integrity, and transparency is a crucial pillar propelling the police force towards continued excellence, resonating with the royal decrees and ideals of His Majesty the Sultan and Head of State of Brunei.

The ceremony proceeded with the awarding of certificates of honor, as the guest of honor presented them to 21 members with outstanding performance in their duties—including 5 officers and 16 lower-ranking personnel—in recognition of their dedication and professionalism.

The event continued with the slow march and quick march salute, with participating units including the guard of honor, the royal flag bearer contingent, and various parade squads, all accompanied throughout by the military band, adding to the grandeur of the occasion.

This year’s celebration theme highlights the police force’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its capabilities, efficiency, and state of readiness to face increasingly complex security challenges, while also underscoring the vital role society at large plays as strategic partners in safeguarding the nation’s peace and stability.
