Feigning transit but actually attempting to enter, Malaysia has deported foreign nationals who tried to illegally enter our country.

The Malaysian Border Control and Protection Agency (AKPS) recently uncovered a ploy by a group of foreign nationals attempting to enter the country using a "false transit" method. Last Thursday (22nd), they arranged for the deportation of 105 foreign nationals from Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

According to a statement from the agency, after inspecting more than 400 travelers from Bangladesh, Pakistan, and India at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, it was found that 105 of them did not meet the entry requirements and were deported.

The statement noted that these foreign nationals claimed they were only transiting through Malaysia, with their final destination being a third country.

"In a joint investigation with the airline, the authorities discovered that they held tickets to a third country, but these were canceled en route to Kuala Lumpur International Airport."

"This tactic was evidently to evade immigration officers' checks and attempt to illegally remain in Malaysia."

The agency stated it will continue to enhance monitoring of all national entry points, optimize screening mechanisms, and conduct thorough checks on all arrivals and departures.

The agency also reiterated that any violation of regulations, including negligence or collusion by officers, will be met with strict disciplinary measures and legal actions without compromise.
