(Bandar Seri Begawan, 28th) The Safety, Health and Environment National Authority (SHENA) conducted an inspection of a construction site located in Kampong Sungai Sulok, Bangar, Temburong District and found that the site failed to comply with Article 4, 'Provision of First Aid Kit' under the Workplace Safety and Health (First Aid) Regulations.
As a result, the construction site was fined $500, and the fine has been fully paid.
After the inspection, the responsible party of the relevant site has taken the necessary corrective actions to address the discovered violations.
SHENA reiterates and reminds all relevant parties that they must always comply with the Workplace Safety and Health Order (Chapter 277) and its subsidiary regulations.
Any occupant of premises who fails to comply with the Workplace Safety and Health (First Aid) Regulations is committing an offence and, upon conviction, may be fined up to $5,000.
SHENA will continue to conduct inspections in accordance with the law and take appropriate enforcement actions to protect workers, the public, and the environment.
