On July 28, Cheng Xu Hui shared a "hospital bed photo" on social media, posting a message hoping that the heavens would bless his son-in-law Jaze, who was lying in the hospital, to "get well soon." Unexpectedly, less than a day later, he updated his social media again with the shocking news: "Jaze is gone..."
It is understood that Jaze was his second daughter's husband, aged 45. After being diagnosed with cancer two years ago, he actively fought the illness but ultimately could not overcome it, passing away on the 28th.
Cheng Xu Hui publicly posted the obituary on social media. The funeral arrangements will be held at Woodlands Memorial Funeral Parlour, from the 29th until December 1, with a memorial service on November 30 and the burial the following day.
73-year-old Cheng Xu Hui and his wife have three daughters and six grandchildren (five girls and one boy). He and his wife live with their eldest daughter in a five-room HDB flat in the northeast.

Cheng Xu Hui was previously an artiste managed by Mark Lee's "King Kong Media." Last year, due to health considerations, he became a freelancer and now enjoys a semi-retired life. He says that as long as the work is not too strenuous, he is still willing to act and participate in commercial performances.
