(Bandar Seri Begawan, 21st) The Brunei Taiwan Alumni Association is scheduled to hold the Bingwu Year Lunar New Year Gathering and the 2025 Outstanding Academic Achievement Award Ceremony for Members’ Descendants on March 8, 2026 (Sunday).
This event will begin at 7:00 PM on the evening of March 8, 2026, at the Golden Stone Banquet Hall on the 7th floor of Sander Fong. All alumni who studied in Taiwan are cordially invited to attend with their families to celebrate together. Alumni or students who require transportation arrangements from the association are requested to inform the contact person of their pick-up location as early as possible.
Any members or permanent members’ descendants of the association who meet any of the following academic criteria are eligible to apply. Application guidelines for the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award are as follows:
1) For all streams of kindergarten and primary school leavers, year-end results ranking first, second, or third, or attaining an overall average of 85 points or an A.
2) For all streams of secondary school leavers, year-end results ranking first, second, or third, or attaining an overall average of 80 points.
3) Passing the PSR (Primary School Assessment) and achieving 5As, 4A1B, 4A1C or above, or 3A2B and above.
4) Passing the SPE (Lower Secondary Assessment) with five subject results, scoring at least 80 points per subject. Four subjects must be core subjects: Malay, English, Math, Science, and one additional elective.
5) Passing the GCE "O" Level exam with a total of eight subjects scoring no more than 12 points or six subjects scoring no more than 10 points.
6) Passing the GCE "A" Level exam with at least one A and one B grade or above.
7) Passing the International Baccalaureate (IB) exam with 30 points or more.
8) Graduates from tertiary institutions (Diploma/Bachelor’s/Master’s/Doctorate) in the previous year who have obtained graduation certificates.
9) The applicant’s conduct grade must be B or above.
10) For middle school or above, a year-end subject score of 95 or above in any single subject.
