Seria Chung Cheng Chinese New Year Fundraising Prosperity Event – Lion Dance Troupe Supports Chinese Education

(Seria, 21st) With the approaching Lunar New Year of the Fire Horse, Seria Chung Cheng Middle School would like to extend heartfelt New Year greetings to all philanthropists, business friends, and community members, wishing everyone a progressive New Year, family health, and success in all endeavors. In order to continually enhance its teaching environment and facilities, the school will carry out a series of New Year fundraising events, hoping for continued support from all circles for Chinese education to nurture student growth.
The school is scheduled to organize a New Year greeting and fundraising visit by the board, teaching staff, and administrative team to Seria, Kuala Belait, Lumut, and Sungai Liang areas on February 1st (Sunday) from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, to extend early New Year wishes to the Chinese community. All funds raised will be fully used to upgrade campus equipment and improve teaching resources, creating a better learning environment for students. The school sincerely appeals to the public for generous support, to help ensure the everlasting development of Chinese education.

The school will also host a Lion Awakening and Eye-Dotting Ceremony on February 4th (Wednesday) from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the High School Jubilee Hall. Distinguished school honorary advisors, board members, and esteemed community members will be invited to dot the eyes and hang the red ribbons on the new lions, symbolizing auspiciousness and a long-lasting blessing. Parents, alumni, and friends from all walks of life are warmly invited to attend and celebrate New Year’s good fortune together.
At the start of the New Year, the school’s lion dance troupe will also hold a Lion Dance Blessing and Prosperity performance on Lunar New Year's Day (February 17th) with the following schedule: 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The lion troupe will visit homes and businesses to bring blessings and enliven the festive season. For the safety of the team and the quality of the performance, only traditional Cai Qing (plucking the greens) performances will be offered; we kindly ask you to refrain from requesting high-difficulty or risky stunts.
