(Bandar Seri Begawan, June 13) The 'Yizhong Walk' charity event hosted by Seri Yizhong Chinese Middle School took place today in a lively atmosphere. Led by Deputy Chairman Chen Yonghui, with Vice Chairman Guan Mingfu, board members, teachers, and over a thousand parents enthusiastically participating, everyone contributed to the causes of charity and education.
On the day of the event, participants gathered at the school plaza. Before the start, everyone joined in a warm-up exercise. Although there was a brief rain before the start, it did nothing to dampen everyone's enthusiasm. As the starting ceremony commenced, the rain ceased, and participants set off in the fresh air, demonstrating their support for charitable causes.
The atmosphere on site was vibrant, with participants spreading love and warmth with every relaxed step. The charity walk not only united the board, teachers, and parents, but also showcased the community's spirit of unity and care for society.
The school pointed out that the charity walk had four main objectives: First, to cultivate students' sense of social responsibility by involving the community, guiding students to pay attention to society. Second, to raise funds to give back to society, with 15% donated to the Belait District Charitable Foundation and another 15% used to support Yizhong's student aid fund. Third, part of the proceeds from the event will be used to improve and upgrade the school's facilities and infrastructure. Fourth, to strengthen the ties between the school, parents, and the community, promoting cooperation and unity.
The event also specially arranged for multiple categories to allow students of different ages to participate, including kindergarten, lower grades (Grades 1–3), middle and upper grades (Grades 4–6), and secondary (Grades 7–11).
