Miri Chen Clan Association Members’ Meeting: Unity and Cooperation to Reach New Heights

(Miri, 8th) — The Miri Chen Clan Association’s 15th term (2024-2025) second members’ meeting was successfully held yesterday at 4pm in the Grand Palace Hotel, fifth-floor banquet hall.

In his speech, 15th-term President Chen Shao He stated that the annual members’ meeting is not just a statutory process, but also a crucial moment to review achievements and unify direction. The enthusiastic participation of members reflects everyone’s respect for the organization’s system, as well as their sense of responsibility and commitment towards the future development of the Clan Association.

He thanked Honorary President Chen Pei Hua for completing the 2025 financial report for the meeting, and also thanked Clan Elder Zemin for successfully completing the auditing task, which allowed the meeting to proceed smoothly.

Chen Shao He pointed out that the 15th term council has successfully completed its tenure and has smoothly transitioned into the new 16th term council. At the same time, both the Youth League and Women’s Group have officially entered their 15th-term leadership teams. He extended his sincere gratitude to all former council members, Youth League, and Women’s Group members for their wholehearted support and close cooperation throughout their terms, contributing their collective wisdom and efforts to steadily develop the association, continuously expand its scale, and successfully mobilize clan members’ active participation in various activities, lifting the Clan Association to new heights.

He noted that last year coincided with the Association's 30th anniversary. Under the meticulous planning of the Chen De Yi-led preparatory team, with active cooperation from the council, Youth League, and Women’s Group, and thanks to the generous support from all honorary presidents and advisors, a grand celebration was successfully organized. There were 79 banquet tables on the night, with clan members from all over the country invited to participate, creating a lively atmosphere.

Looking ahead, he hopes the new council, Youth League, and Women’s Group will continue to work hard and, in a spirit of unity and cooperation, work together to promote the development of association affairs, reaching new peaks for the Chen Clan Association.

Chen Shao He stated that he has served as President for four years, and according to the articles of association, this is his last term as President. At present, the most important task is to find a suitable successor. He hopes to smoothly pass on the important responsibilities to a more capable and passionate clan member, ensuring the association continues its legacy and sustainable development.

He revealed that the association now has over 800 members. In future events, he hopes to see more clan members actively participating, further strengthening the momentum of the association.

Chen Shao He expressed gratitude for the long-term dedication of the council, Youth League, and Women’s Group, and especially thanked the permanent honorary advisors, honorary advisors, and honorary presidents for their strong financial support, which allowed the Clan Association to carry out all affairs without worries.

The assembly announced the list of the 16th term (2026-2027) council, and elected Chen De Yi as auditor. The new President, Secretary, and Treasurer were elected as trust estate custodians.
