(Bandar Seri Begawan, 14th) In celebration of Brunei Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah's 80th birthday, the Brunei-Muara District Sultan's 80th Birthday Celebration Committee held a "Mini National Flag Distribution Ceremony for 4WD Vehicles" yesterday morning in the parking lot in front of The Mall in Gadong.
Member of Parliament Pehin Adanan was invited as the guest of honor and officiated the mini national flag launching ceremony. He was accompanied by Acting District Officer of Brunei-Muara, Amir Mubarak.
A total of 80 four-wheel drive vehicles participated in this event. During the ceremony, Pehin Adanan installed the mini national flag symbolizing celebration of the Sultan's birthday onto the front mirror of each four-wheel drive vehicle.
Afterwards, Pehin Adanan presided over the launching ceremony. The fleet of 80 four-wheel drive vehicles, each adorned with mini national flags, formed a convoy and set off from Gadong along the designated route, finally arriving at the Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas. The scene was spectacular and full of festive atmosphere.
This activity aimed to promote patriotism and national unity, express the people's loyalty and respect for the Sultan, and further create a fervent atmosphere for the nationwide celebration of the Sultan's 80th birthday.
