(Kuching, 19th) Last night, a pickup truck lost control and fell into a drain on Jalan Lapangan Terbang, trapping three individuals, including a pregnant woman.
A spokesperson from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department Operations Center (PGO) stated that the department received an accident report at 9:49 PM and immediately dispatched nine personnel from the Batu Lintang Fire and Rescue Station (BBP Batu Lintang) to the scene.
"Upon arrival, a pickup truck was found overturned in a water-filled drain. Inside the vehicle were three trapped individuals, including two men and a pregnant woman," he said in a statement today.
It is reported that firefighters successfully rescued the trapped individuals by breaking the vehicle's rear window.
"All trapped individuals sustained only minor injuries and were handed over to the Ministry of Health Malaysia (KKM) personnel and transported by ambulance to the hospital for further treatment," he added.
