(Bandar Seri Begawan, 18th) Royal Brunei Airlines recently teamed up with Brunei's Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism and several local tourism partners to welcome representatives from 12 Indonesian travel agencies for a five-day familiarization (FAM) trip. The goal was to experience Brunei's major attractions and cultural highlights more deeply.
This activity serves as a continuation of the successful "Brunei Yuk: Destinasi Halal Favoritmu" (Brunei Yuk: Your Favorite Halal Destination) promotional event held in Jakarta, Indonesia, in January this year. It aims to further consolidate the cooperative foundation established with the Indonesian tourism industry and expand Brunei's international influence as a high-quality halal tourism destination.
During the five-day itinerary, the delegation visited landmark attractions such as Tamu Kianggeh market, Eco Ponies Garden, the Luagan Lalak Forest Reserve in Belait District, Ulu Temburong National Park, and the traditional village of Kampong Ayer, gaining firsthand experience of Brunei's rich natural ecology and cultural heritage.
Through on-the-ground experiences, representatives from Indonesian travel agencies not only gained a deeper understanding of Brunei's tourism potential but also acquired firsthand information for future promotion and cooperation. This study tour is seen as an important step in opening up the halal tourism market and promoting tourism exchanges between the two countries.
Royal Brunei Airlines and related entities expressed their commitment to continuing to promote collaboration with regional tourism players, enhancing Brunei's tourism recognition, particularly in the international positioning of halal tourism.
