(Sri Aman, 12th) — A Perodua Viva car was involved in a single-vehicle accident last night on Tun Road in Sri Aman, in front of the Federal Government Staff Quarters, losing control and plunging into a ditch.
According to the Sarawak Operations Center of the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (PGO), the Sri Aman Fire and Rescue Department received an emergency call at 12:40 a.m. and arrived at the scene four minutes later.
The statement said: "This operation was led by PBK I Noor Faqriakmal Jamari, with a team of 8 members, one FRT fire truck and one EMRS ambulance involved."
Upon arrival, they found that the two individuals in the car—a man and a woman—had already climbed out of the vehicle on their own before the rescue team arrived and had successfully escaped.
Since neither of them was seriously injured, no rescue operation was required.
The fire department then ensured the safety of the scene before returning to base.
At the same time, the Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) personnel also assisted at the scene.
