(Selangau, 12th) The Selangau District Police Headquarters (IPD Selangau) has made comprehensive preparations to cope with various disasters brought by the current Northeast Monsoon (MTL).
District Police Chief Superintendent Mohamad Haid Araman stated that all units under the police district must ensure disaster management work proceeds smoothly and effectively, in order to safeguard the welfare of local residents.
He said: “Personnel of the Selangau Police District must keep pace with technological developments, especially by maximizing the application of the NGMERS999 system to further improve service efficiency to the public.”
He made these remarks yesterday while delivering a speech at the December monthly meeting in Selangau.
At the same time, he expressed gratitude to the Sarawak Land Consolidation and Rehabilitation Authority (SALCRA) Selangau branch for their close cooperation in combating estate-related crimes, especially in estate areas near the national border.
Mohamad Haid pointed out that the rapid development in the Selangau region has also brought about new challenges.
He said: “I hope all members will continue to maintain excellent work performance and further enhance their professionalism while fulfilling their duties.”
He added that, to commend the team's dedication, a total of 25 officers, police personnel, and civil servants were awarded certificates of commendation from the Selangau District Police Chief to recognize their outstanding contributions and dedication this year.
